In what cities do you offer in home lessons?
Spotlight Dance Training is based out of Murrieta, California, and can travel to students living in Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee, Winchester, and Wildomar. If your student lives outside of these cities we can set up virtual lessons.
Do you only offer tap lessons?
While Spotlight Dance Training specializes in tap, we also offer lessons in a variety of other styles such as ballet, jazz, theater dance, and cheer. Let us know what you're lookinig for.
What ages and levels are your lessons?
We believe dance is for everybody! Students can start lessons as young as 2 years old, and we have many adult students too! All levels are welcome from absolute beginner to pre-professional.
Do you take charter school funds?
We are currently a vendor for Mission Vista Academy and Cabrillo Point Academy. If you are with a charter and would like us to be offered as a vendor please let us know!
Can I still take lessons if I don't have much space?
Yes! Tap does not require much room. Your teacher will bring two 3'X4' tap boards for the teacher and student to tap on. That's basically all the space you will need! The tap boards can be placed on carpet or hard floors. Many students push the coffee table out of the way and have just the right amount of space. The garage or backyard can also work great.
Where should I practice?
The best option would be to purchase a tap board to practice on. You can purchase one on Amazon for around $100. Another good option would be to buy a 2'X4' piece of wood at a hardware store. Thick particle board works best. It is also possible to practice on concrete. Please do not use tap shoes on the tile, laminate, or hard wood floors in your home. Tap shoes will damage your floors.
